Snacking made simple, this easy chickpea is ready to bake is a quick five minutes! Ordinary canned chickpeas cook to crunchy perfection with a light smoky flavor thanks to smoked paprika and cumin. A hint of heat comes from the cayenne pepper. Regulate that as you like to get your spice level just right. You can store the chickpeas at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 3 days. If they lose their crunch, pop them into a 350°F on a rimmed baking sheet for about 5 minutes. Kids can enjoy the crispy texture and you will feel good with a homemade snack that packs a protein punch as well. Make a double batch for entertaining or game day gatherings. Play with your spice blend to find new variations.
