Whole-grain bread is spread with cream cheese and piled with smoked salmon, dill, capers, red onion, and a touch of grated lemon zest. It’s easily big-batched for sharing with friends. Top the cream cheese with thinly sliced English (seedless) cucumber for some fresh flavor.

Whole wheat bread

Smoked salmon, lox

Lightly toast bread; remove crust.
