A bit special and very delicious, this finger-food snack is easy to prepare. Whole-grain bread is spread with cream cheese and piled with smoked salmon, dill, capers, red onion, and a touch of grated lemon zest. It’s easily big-batched for sharing with friends. Top the cream cheese with thinly sliced English (seedless) cucumber for some fresh flavor.

Whole wheat bread

Low fat cream cheese
1 Tbsp
Smoked salmon, lox
1 oz
Dill
1 tsp
Capers
1 tsp
Red onion
1 tsp, minced
Lemon zest

Instructions

Lightly toast bread; remove crust.

Spread warm bread with cream cheese and top with salmon. Cut into 4 triangles; sprinkle with dill, capers, onion, and lemon zest.
