These flavorful peas are a "snap" to make — the perfect accompaniment to dinner on a hot summer evening.
Ingredients

uncooked sugar snap peas

1 pound(s)

sesame oil

1 tsp

sesame seeds

1 Tbsp

ground ginger

½ tsp

Instructions

  1. Steam snap peas until crisp-tender, about 10 minutes.
  2. Coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray. Add oil and heat over medium-high heat. Add sesame seeds and ginger; stir-fry for 1 minute.
  3. Add snap peas and stir-fry until warmed through, about 2 minutes. Yields about 1/2 cup per serving.
Notes
We kept the calories and fat down by steaming the peas first and then stir-frying them in a touch of oil.
