Snack-time made simple! With less than 5 ingredients baking your own chips in about 15 minutes means never having to eat another stale pita chip and never running out of dippers at a party. Play with the flavors by adding some garlic powder to the spice blend or amp the black pepper if you like it a little hot. Red pepper flakes will really heat up your batch while a little dried dill adds a tangy punch. Depending on your dip, you can design the chip flavor that best meets your needs. Bigger batches are super simple and add little to no additional prep time.
Ingredients
Whole wheat pita
2 large, split into rounds
Olive oil cooking spray
4 spray(s)
Sea salt
¼ tsp
Black pepper
⅛ tsp, freshly ground
Instructions
1
Preheat oven to 400°F.
2
Cut each pita round into 8 wedges. Place wedges on large baking sheet. Lightly spray on both sides with cooking spray. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake until crisp and lightly toasted, about 6 minutes.
3
Let cool. Store at room temperature in airtight container up to 3 days. If chips lose their crispness, bake in 350°F oven about 3 minutes.
