These juicy turkey burgers should satisfy even the beef-lovers in your family. They take just 20 minutes to make from start to finish and feature ground turkey that's flavored with ketchup and Dijon mustard. Top off the grilled patties with American cheese (or frankly, whatever cheese slices you have on hand), as well as some lettuce leaves and fresh tomatoes, and your burgers are set to go. Feel free to use any additional toppings, like sliced red onion, hot sauce, or avocado, if you so desire. Whatever you choose, we promise that you're in for a hearty, delicious, and weeknight-friendly treat.

Ingredients

uncooked extra lean ground turkey breast

1 pound(s)

ketchup

¼ cup(s)

Dijon mustard

1 Tbsp

fat-free hard or semi-soft cheese

4 slice(s), such as 3/4 oz American slices

mixed grain hamburger roll(s)

4 item(s)

lettuce

8 leaf/leaves, large

fresh tomato(es)

1 small, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or stove-top grill pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine turkey, ketchup and mustard. Mix well and form 4 equal patties, about 1-inch thick each.
  3. Grill burgers until cooked through, about 5 minutes per side. Top each burger with 1 slice cheese; close grill or cover grill pan, and cook until cheese melts, about 1 minute.
  4. Serve cheeseburgers on rolls with lettuce and tomato.
