Parmesan-basil broiled tomatoes

Ingredients

Cooking spray

Plum tomato

8 medium, halved lengthwise

Fresh thyme

1 Tbsp, chopped

Extra virgin olive oil

2 tsp

Table salt

½ tsp

Black pepper

½ tsp

Grated Parmigiano-Reggiano

2 Tbsp

Fresh basil

2 Tbsp, chopped

Instructions

Preheat broiler and spray large rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray.

Toss together tomatoes, thyme, oil, salt, and pepper in large bowl. Arrange tomatoes on pan. Broil 6 inches from heat until tomatoes are tender and lightly charred, about 5 minutes on each side. Sprinkle with Parmigiano-Reggiano; broil until cheese melts, about 1 minute.

Transfer tomatoes to platter; sprinkle with basil.
