Kombucha is a fermented, sweetened tea that comes in a variety of fruity and spicy flavors. It adds a unique effervescence to sangria but if you don't have any on hand, you can swap in flavored seltzer in its place.


Ingredients
Apple
4 medium, chopped
Orange
1 medium, thinly sliced
Pomegranate seeds (arils)
1 cup(s)
Strawberries
½ cup(s), chopped
Red wine
1 bottle(s), Merlot or Malbec (750 ml)
Orange juice
4 fl oz
Kombucha
2 cup(s), apple variety recommended, chilled (16 fl oz)
Instructions

Place fruit in a large pitcher. Stir in wine and orange juice; refrigerate for at least 2 hours and up to overnight.

When ready to serve, stir in cold kombucha; pour over ice.
