These quick oats are created similarly to regular steel-cut oats, but are simply cut into smaller pieces, which cuts their cooking time for up to 30 minutes down to 3 to 7 minutes. While pomegranate seeds and pistachios offer delightfully different flavor and texture combination in this breakfast, you can top this bowl with whatever ingredients you like, such as tried-and-true options like cinnamon, brown sugar, raisins, and fresh berries to dried cranberries or cherries or a dusting of nutmeg. Toasted slivered almonds, chopped walnuts, or pecan halves would also work well in this recipe.

Unpacked light brown sugar
