Easy BBQ T-bone steak
2 Tbsp, or ketchup
Packed brown sugar
1 Tbsp, dark
1 medium clove(s), finely chopped, or 1⁄2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp, whole-grain recommended
1 tsp, fresh, minced, or 1⁄4 tsp ground ginger
Uncooked lean and trimmed T-bone beef steak
1 pound(s), cut 1 1/2 inches thick
- Off heat, coat grill rack or grill pan with nonstick spray. Preheat gas grill or grill pan to high, or prepare high fire in charcoal grill.
- In small bowl, stir chili sauce, sugar, Worcestershire, garlic, mustard, and ginger and brush sauce all over steak.
- Grill steak, turning once and brushing with any leftover sauce, to desired doneness, 6 to 7 minutes per side for medium rare (130°F on instant-read thermometer). Transfer steak to cutting board. Cover loosely with foil and let rest for 10 minutes. Slice steak against grain before serving.
