Baked grapefruit in a dessert? Yes indeed! And it's so delicious, you'll want to save some for breakfast the next day. The tart flavor of the grapefruit mixes beautifully with the sweetness of the apples. Tapioca, ginger, and allspice mix together to enhance the flavor of this dish. Oatmeal, brown sugar, flour, butter and cinnamon make a crispy and delicious crust that cooks to a golden brown. We found it easiest to peel the grapefruit if we first cut the tops and bottoms of the fruit. The peel and pith easily are removed from this point. Serve this plain or with a scoop of ice cream.
