Ingredients

Popcorn kernels

4 Tbsp, unpopped, unpopped kernels

Canola oil

½ tsp

Cooking spray

5 spray(s)

Granulated garlic

2 tsp

Onion powder

2 tsp, or granulated onion

Unsalted toasted sesame seeds

2 tsp

Poppy seeds

1½ tsp

Kosher salt

½ tsp

Instructions

  1. Mix together popcorn kernels and canola oil in large microwavable bowl. Cover with heavy microwavable plate. Put bowl in microwave and cook on High until popping sounds slow to about 5 seconds apart, 2 1/2–3 minutes. (A few kernels may remain unpopped, but cooking popcorn longer may result in scorching some kernels.) Carefully lift off plate as popcorn will be hot. Makes about 8 cups.
  2. Spread popcorn on large rimmed baking sheet. Mix together granulated onion, granulated garlic, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, and kosher salt in cup. Spray popcorn with canola nonstick spray; sprinkle popcorn with seasoning mix.
  3. Serving size: 2 cups
