Packaged gnocchi cooks to an extremely munchable crispiness in the air fryer, with no oil necessary; simply coat with cooking spray and cook until lightly browned. It makes a delicious side dish or appetizer that requires almost no prep. Be sure to use vacuum-packed gnocchi, which you’ll find near the pasta in the grocery store; frozen gnocchi will be too soft.

Ingredients

Cooking spray

4 spray(s)

Potato gnocchi

1 pound(s), vacuum-packed

No sugar added fat free marinara sauce

1½ cup(s), warmed

Instructions

  1. Preheat an air fryer, if necessary, to 400°F. Lightly coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange the gnocchi in the basket, separating any pieces that are stuck together; lightly coat the gnocchi with cooking spray and season to taste with optional salt (and other seasonings such as dried basil and oregano).
  2. Air-fry the gnocchi at 400°F until lightly browned and crisp, 13 to 15 minutes, pausing and shaking the basket every 4 minutes. Serve with the marinara sauce.
  3. Serving size: about 1 1/3 oz gnocchi and 2 tbsp sauce
