uncooked onion(s)

2 Tbsp, minced

dill

1 Tbsp, fresh, chopped

Instructions

  1. Combine the sour cream, cream cheese, lemon juice, cumin, salt, pepper, hot pepper sauce, and cayenne in a medium bowl until well blended. Add the chicken, onion, and dill; stir until blended. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. Serve at once or cover and refrigerate for up to several hours. Yields 2 tablespoons per serving.
Notes
This full-flavored dip can also be made with cooked shrimp, crabmeat, or chopped cooked turkey breast instead of chicken. Here’s a great way to serve this dip as finger food: Cut off the tops of large cherry tomatoes and scoop out the insides with a melon baller. Then, use the melon baller to stuff the tomatoes with the dip. Line a platter with greens or banana leaves (to prevent slippage) and arrange the tomatoes on top.
