Make sure to get quick cooking oats or the recipe will not work as written. Garnish with optional chopped walnuts, sliced bananas, additional cinnamon, or a drizzle of honey.
Quick cooking rolled oats
1 small, very ripe, mashed
Light agave nectar
- In a small pot over medium-high heat, bring water to a simmer. Add oats, banana, agave, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook, stirring occasionally, until water has absorbed and oats are tender, about 5 minutes.
- Serving size: 1 bowl (about ¾ cup)
