You can serve these patties as an appetizer with the soy-based dipping sauce or as a main meal with brown rice and stir-fried vegetables.

Ingredients

Cooking spray

4 spray(s)

Uncooked ground chicken breast

1 pound(s)

Soy sauce

2 Tbsp, divided

Fresh ginger

1 Tbsp, finely grated, divided

Garlic

2 tsp, minced

Scallions

3 medium, thinly sliced

Egg

1 item(s), large, lightly beaten

Instructions

  1. Combine chicken, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tsp ginger, garlic, scallion, and egg in a mixing bowl.
  2. Divide mixture into 12 equal portions. Using slightly damp hands, shape each portion into a 3/4-inch-thick patty.
  3. Coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium heat. Cook chicken patties, in two batches, for 3 minutes each side or until browned and cooked through.
  4. Meanwhile, combine remaining soy sauce and ginger in a small dish. Serve patties with the dipping sauce.
  5. Serving size: 1 chicken patty

Notes

Swap ground turkey breast for the chicken if desired. Serve with optional lime wedges and sliced hot chilies.
