This dessert was devoured at our last recipe tasting. The combination of fresh apples, brown sugar, butter, and ground cinnamon and nutmeg is simply irresistible. You'll find yourself making it over and over again whenever you hit the apple orchard in the fall, and it will be something you look forward to enjoying whenever the weather starts to turn. This crisp is great warm or cold, and even better with a scoop of light vanilla ice cream on the side. You can also use any type of apples in this recipe. Try your favorite or a combination of several different ones.
