Ingredients
Cooking apple
600 g
Blackberries
150 g
Caster Sugar
40 g
Plain White Flour
70 g
Porridge oats
50 g
Low Fat Spread
40 g
Demerara Sugar
20 g

Preheat the oven to 180°C, fan 160°C, gas mark 4. Mix together the apples, blackberries and sugar and spoon into an ovenproof dish.

Sift the flour into a large mixing bowl, add the low fat spread and cut it through using a knife. Then rub the fat into the flour using your finger tips until it looks like breadcrumbs – alternatively, pulse it together in a food processor. Stir in the oats and sugar and spoon on top of the fruit.

Bake for 40 minutes until the fruit is cooked and the top golden.
