Onion
0.5 medium
Extra lean beef mince (5% fat), raw
500 g
Egg, whole, raw
1 medium, raw
Calorie controlled cooking spray

Burger bun
4 medium
Lettuce
4 leaf/leaves, small
Red onion
1 small
Pickled gherkins, no added sugar
1 medium, drained
Tomato
1 large

In a small bowl, combine the chopped onion, mince and egg. Season and shape the mixture into 4 x 2cm-thick patties.

Mist a large nonstick griddle, frying pan or barbecue with cooking spray and set over a medium heat.

Cook the burgers for 15 minutes, turning every now and then, until cooked through.

Top the bottom halves of the burger buns with the lettuce and tomato, then add the patties, onion and gherkins. Secure the top halves of the buns with cocktail sticks and serve.
