Once you’ve cooked salmon in the air fryer, you might never go back to sautéing or broiling. The method is incredibly quick, and the results are delectable—a slightly crisp exterior and juicy, silky interior. To ensure the spices distribute evenly, combine them in a bowl first instead of trying to sprinkle them on the fish individually.

Ingredients

Kosher salt

¼ tsp(s)

Ground cumin

¼ tsp(s)

Chili powder

¼ tsp(s)

Garlic powder

¼ tsp(s)

Uncooked farmed skinless salmon fillet

8 oz, 2 (4-oz) skinless fillets

Cooking spray

4 spray(s)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine salt, cumin, chili powder, and garlic powder. Lightly coat salmon with nonstick spray; sprinkle evenly with spice mixture.
  2. Preheat air fryer, if necessary, to 400°F. Lightly coat air fryer basket with nonstick spray. Arrange salmon in basket. Air-fry at 400°F until fish flakes easily or until desired degree of doneness, 7 to 8 minutes.
  3. Serving size: 1 fillet

Notes

If your fillets are larger than what we call for, you’ll likely need to add a minute or two to the cook time.
