A fool is an old English dessert that combines a cooked fruit puree and whipped cream. Originally the fruit of the day was gooseberries, but modern times have opened this dessert up to all sorts of interpretations, like this speedy version with fruit preserves. All you have to do is fold the blueberry preserves into half of the whipped topping, then fold the apricot preserves into the other half. Layer one on top of the other to make the dessert, and it's ready to go. It really doesn't get much easier or more convenient than that to make this beautiful, delectable treat.
Ingredients
Non-dairy aerosol whipped topping
8 oz
Preserves
3 Tbsp
Apricot preserves
3 Tbsp
Instructions
1
Divide the whipped topping between 2 bowls. With a rubber spatula gently fold the blueberry preserves into 1 bowl of the topping. Fold the apricot into the other bowl.
2
Gently spoon the blueberry mixture evenly into the bottom of 4 glass sundae dishes. Spoon the apricot mixture evenly onto the blueberry mixture. Serve at once or refrigerate until ready to serve. Yields 1 dish per serving.
