Homemade thousand island dressing is quick and easy to make; you probably have all the ingredients on hand already. We keep our version light by cutting the mayonnaise amount in half and subbing in Greek yogurt. The pleasant tang of the yogurt lifts the flavors of the dressing so that you don’t need to add any lemon juice or vinegar (as most traditional recipes have you do). The optional hot sauce will not add noticeable heat, if you choose to use it; it simply contributes a little pep to the taste.
