light sour cream

1½ cup(s), 1 (12-ounce) container , thawed

vanlla meringue cookies

8 item(s), (2 inch), coarsely crushed (generous 2 cups)

Instructions

  1. Stir together strawberries and sour cream in large bowl; gently fold in whipped topping just until blended.
  2. Spoon 1/2 cup of strawberry mixture into each of 12 wineglasses or dessert dishes. Top each with 2 tablespoons cookies. Top evenly with remaining strawberry mixture and sprinkle with remaining cookies.
  3. Per serving: about 1 cup
Notes
When purchasing fresh strawberries, look for firm, shiny, bright red berries with no white areas at the top, which would indicate berries that were packed under ripe.
