Cooking this crowd-pleasing classic on Low ensures the turkey meatballs turn out juicy and tender. Serve these in a sandwich, over pasta or spiralized zucchini noodles, or in an Italian-inspired grain bowl.

Ingredients

Canned crushed tomatoes

Uncooked 93% lean ground turkey

Instructions

  1. Stir together tomatoes, tomato paste, vinegar, 2 teaspoons oregano, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and pepper flakes in 5- or 6-quart slow cooker.
  2. Mix together turkey, panko, basil, fennel seeds, remaining 1 teaspoon oregano, and remaining 1/2 teaspoon salt, and black pepper in large bowl until combined well but not overmixed. With damp hands, shape turkey mixture into 24 meatballs. Add to slow cooker. Cover and cook until meatballs are cooked through and flavors are blended, 6 to 7 hours on Low.
  3. Per serving: 3 meatballs and 1/3 cup sauce
