28 oz, (1 can)

canned tomato paste

cup(s)

balsamic vinegar

2 Tbsp

dried oregano

3 tsp

table salt

1 tsp

red pepper flakes

¼ tsp, or to taste

uncooked 93% lean ground turkey

2 pound(s)

whole wheat Panko breadcrumbs

½ cup(s)

dried basil

2 Tbsp

fennel seeds

1 tsp, crushed

black pepper

Instructions

  1. Stir together tomatoes, tomato paste, vinegar, 2 teaspoons oregano, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and pepper flakes in 5- or 6-quart slow cooker.
  2. Mix together turkey, panko, basil, fennel seeds, remaining 1 teaspoon oregano, and remaining 1/2 teaspoon salt, and black pepper in large bowl until combined well but not overmixed. 3. Per serving: 3 meatballs and 1/3 cup sauce

Notes

Of course you can serve these over pasta (1 cup of cooked spaghetti per serving will up the SmartPoints by 5), but also try zucchini “noodles” for 0 SmartPoints.
