You'll want to keep this super easy, always delicious recipe in heavy rotation. All it takes to make this simple-meets-excellent side dish is a combination of halved, fresh Brussels sprouts and olive oil, salt, and pepper, plus a squeeze of fresh lemon, a sheet pan, and your oven.

1 pound(s), trimmed and halved

Olive oil

Table salt

½ tsp, or to taste

Black pepper

½ tsp, or to taste

Fresh lemon juice

1 Tbsp, or to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Spray a large rimmed baking sheet with nonstick spray. Combine the Brussels sprouts, olive oil, salt, and pepper on prepared pan and toss. Spread to form an even layer; roast until tender, stirring occasionally, about 30 minutes. Transfer the Brussels sprouts to a large bowl. Add lemon juice, if desired, and toss to coat.
