Shakes make for a speedy breakfast, a satisfying afternoon snack, or as a dessert; this one is ready in about 5 minutes. It is a versatile recipe open to a variety of interpretations. Our version uses lowfat frozen yogurt and fat-free skim milk as the base to remain on the lighter side, but you can vary the fruit, using what’s in season and tastes best, and change the flavor of the yogurt and spices to keep your taste buds happy. Try fresh peaches with a hint of cinnamon or mixed berries with touch of pure vanilla extract. Wheat germ adds a nutty flavor, boosts the nutrition, and helps to thicken the milk shake.
