For a light, lower-alcohol, refreshing summer sipper, look no further than this easy recipe. It begins with strawberries, which get muddled or mashed into a pureed-like texture that lends fresh, bright, fruity flavor to every sip. Then strawberry hard seltzer and store-bought lemonade complete the drink—it’s as easy as that. For those who enjoy more tartness, have lemon wedges on the side.

Ingredients

Strawberries

1 cup(s), raw, sliced

Prepared low-calorie lemonade mix

16 fl oz, or store-bought bottled light lemonade, chilled

Hard-flavored seltzer

36 fl oz, strawberry-variety, chilled (3 [12-oz]) cans

Strawberries

6 small

Lemon(s)

6 slice(s), or lemon wedges

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mash the strawberries with a potato masher or fork until juicy and almost pureed. Pour the mashed strawberries into a pitcher. Stir in the lemonade and hard seltzer.
  2. Divide the strawberry mixture evenly among 6 large ice-filled glasses. Garnish with the small strawberries and lemon slices or wedges.
  3. Serving size: about 1 1/8 cups (before ice)
