Ingredients

Cooking spray

4 spray(s)

Baking soda

2 Tbsp

Plain fat free Greek yogurt

¾ cup(s)

Self-rising flour

1 cup(s)

Salted butter

2 Tbsp, melted, divided

Sea salt

2 pinch(es)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F. Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  2. In a medium pot, heat 5 to 6 cups of water to a boil. Reduce heat to maintain a simmer. Stir in the baking soda.
  3. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine the yogurt and flour, mixing until a shaggy dough forms. Transfer to a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth, sprinkling with 1 tsp flour if sticky.
  4. Cut dough into 4 equal-size pieces. Roll each piece into a long, thin rope, then fold into a pretzel shape. Carefully add each piece of dough to the water and cook until it floats to the surface (this will happen almost immediately). Transfer to a baking rack or paper towel-lined plate.
  5. Place boiled pretzels onto greased baking sheet and bake 20 minutes. Remove pan from oven and increase oven temperature to 425F. Brush pretzels with half of the butter. Place in oven for 5 minutes.
  6. Remove pretzels from oven and brush with remaining butter. Sprinkle with the salt.
