Meet your new favorite way to “roast” carrots. The dry circulating heat of an air fryer gives baby carrots a lightly caramelized exterior while keeping them moist and tender within. Since many air fryers don’t require preheating (and those that do heat quickly), the method is far quicker than oven-roasting. We use convenient baby carrots to keep prep simple; no washing or peeling necessary—just a quick pat-down to dry them off before coating them with the seasonings.

Ingredients
Cooking spray
4 spray(s)
Baby carrots
4 cup(s)
Kosher salt
0.5 tsp
Smoked paprika
0.5 tsp
Black pepper
0.25 tsp
Instructions
1
Pat the carrots dry with paper towels and place in a medium bowl; spray with cooking spray, tossing well to coat. Sprinkle with the salt, smoked paprika, and black pepper; toss well to coat.
2
Preheat an air fryer, if necessary, to 400°F. Coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray and add the carrots. Air-fry at 400°F until lightly browned and tender, 13 to 15 minutes, pausing to shake the basket every 5 minutes.
