Look no further for your new favorite snack or appetizer. Based on a classic offering at Japanese izakaya restaurants, this crunchy raw cabbage dish is simply delectable. Similar to massaging kale salad, we massage the seasonings into the cabbage so that it softens slightly but still retains most of its crunch. For a stronger garlic kick, you can use grated raw garlic.


Ingredients
Uncooked green cabbage
0.25 head(s), small
Toasted sesame oil
0.75 tsp
Garlic powder
0.5 tsp
Kosher salt
0.25 tsp
White pepper
0.125 tsp
Unsalted toasted sesame seeds
0.75 tsp
Instructions

Place the cabbage in a medium bowl. Drizzle with the oil and sprinkle with the garlic powder, salt, and white pepper. Massage the seasonings into the cabbage with your hand, making sure to coat it evenly. Place in a serving bowl; sprinkle with the sesame seeds.
