Behold the simplicity of a delicious tomato-cheese pizza. This 15-minute meal looks and sounds basic, but the combination of Parmesan and and mozzarella cheeses, as well as a little bit of red pepper flakes for a touch of spice, really elevates the pizza. We call for frozen pizza crust dough, but you could also make your own from scratch, or purchase 12 ounces of freshly made dough from your favorite pizza shop. You should aim for a crust that's blistered, as well as bubbly, browned cheese to know when it's done. And if cheese pizza feels a little boring, use this recipe as your starting point and just add your favorite toppings.

Ingredients
Frozen pizza crust dough
12 oz, thawed and at room temperature
Whole-grain yellow cornmeal
2 tsp, for dusting pan
Canned tomato sauce
½ cup(s), or pizza sauce
Red pepper flakes
¼ tsp
Shredded part skim mozzarella cheese
1 cup(s), (4-ounces)
Grated Parmesan cheese
2 Tbsp
Instructions
1
Place oven rack in lower third of oven; preheat oven to 500°F.
2
Turn dough onto lightly floured work surface. With lightly floured rolling pin, roll dough into 12-inch round. Sprinkle pizza pan or large baking sheet with cornmeal. Transfer dough to prepared pan, gently pulling dough back into 12-inch round. (If dough begins to pull back, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, let it rest about 10 minutes, and continue rolling.)
3
Spread tomato sauce over dough; sprinkle with pepper flakes. Top evenly with mozzarella and Parmesan. Bake until crust is golden and cheese melts, 12−15 minutes. Cut into 8 wedges.
4
Serving size: 1 wedge
