Lightly spiced poached fruit is served with yogurt and a drizzle of honey. You could also serve this as a dessert, as well as a breakfast.

Ingredients

Plums

8 large

Orange

1 zest(s) of 1

Cinnamon Stick

1 stick(s)

Honey

4 teaspoon(s), level

0% fat natural Greek yogurt

120 g

Freshly squeezed orange juice

55 ml

Instructions

  1. Put the plums into a saucepan and add enough cold water to almost cover them. Add the cinnamon stick, orange zest and juice.
  2. Put over a medium heat and bring to the boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10-12 minutes until the plums are soft.
  3. Serve the plums warm, with a spoonful of the Greek yogurt, and the honey drizzled over.

Notes

Make sure you use ripe plums for this, so the poached fruit will have its own natural sweetness.
