Pizza with fresh tomato and basil

Add an extra sliced plum tomato and, if you like, top the tomatoes with 1 cup of sliced white or cremini mushrooms.

Ingredients

frozen pizza crust dough

10 oz

plum tomato(es)

3 medium, thinly sliced

garlic clove(s)

2 medium clove(s), minced

shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese

2 cup(s)

basil

¼ cup(s), fresh, sliced

dried oregano

1 tsp

olive oil

2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450ºF. Spray a baking sheet with nonstick spray.
  2. Place the crust on the prepared baking sheet. Arrange the tomatoes on the crust and sprinkle with the garlic. Top evenly with the mozzarella, basil, and oregano; drizzle with the oil. Bake until the cheese is melted, about 8 minutes. Cut into 6 wedges. Yields 1/6 pizza per serving.
