Fig, Honey & Almond Oatmeal

When fresh figs are in season, swap them in if for the dried fruit, if desired.

Ground nutmeg

Sliced almonds (unsalted, no oil or sugar added)

Part skim ricotta cheese

Honey

Instructions

Bring the water and a pinch of salt to boil in a small saucepan set over medium heat. Stir in the oats. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the water is absorbed and the oats are tender, about 5 minutes. Serve topped with the figs, nutmeg, almonds, ricotta, and honey.
