Fig, Honey & Almond Oatmeal
When fresh figs are in season, swap them in if for the dried fruit, if desired.
Uncooked old fashioned rolled oats
Sweetened dried fig(s)

Part-skim ricotta cheese
- Bring the water and a pinch of salt to boil in a small saucepan set over medium heat. Stir in the oats. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the water is absorbed and the oats are tender, about 5 minutes. Serve topped with the figs, nutmeg, almonds, ricotta, and honey.
- Makes 1 serving (about 3/4 cup of oats plus toppings).
