This iced tea is wonderfully refreshing thanks to the combination of green tea and mint. Green tea has a fresh, bright flavor and a beautiful green hue. For the mint, you can choose either spearmint or peppermint leaves. Peppermint contains 40% menthol, which means its flavor is pungent, almost spicy, and the high level of menthol is responsible for its well-known cooling effect. Spearmint contains less than 1% menthol, which accounts for its milder, almost sweet flavor, and it doesn’t provide as intense of a cooling effect as peppermint. For this iced tea, use whichever one whose flavor you prefer.
