Have fun with pizza toppings! Add sliced precooked chicken sausage, turkey pepperoni, chopped mushrooms, sliced olives, fresh basil, or whatever else you like that you’ve got on hand.

Ingredients

Sweet mini peppers

6 item(s), halved, leaving the tops intact, seeded

Marinara sauce

¼ cup(s)

Dried oregano

½ tsp

Shredded part skim mozzarella cheese

¼ cup(s)

Crushed red pepper flakes

1 pinch(es), optional

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350℉. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Place pepper halves on prepared pan. Spoon 1 tsp sauce into each pepper half. Sprinkle oregano over sauce, and top each with 1 tsp cheese. Bake until cheese is melted, about 12 minutes (or up to 15 for a softer pepper). Sprinkle with red pepper flakes, if using, and let cool slightly before serving.
