Bottled stir-fry sauce and frozen stir-fry veggies are the key to pulling off this satisfying meal with only five ingredients. The sauce offers a concentrated savory boost, and the veggies deliver a variety of colors and textures. The finishing sprinkle of scallions adds a fresh pop of flavor that you don’t want to skip.

Ingredients

Canola oil

1½ Tbsp

Uncooked skinless boneless chicken breast

1 pound(s), cut into thin strips

Frozen stir fry vegetables without sauce

1 pound(s)

Asian stir-fry sauce

¼ cup(s)

Cooked medium grain brown rice

2 cup(s)

Scallions

2 medium, sliced

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a wok or large nonstick skillet over medium-high. Add the chicken and vegetables; stir-fry until the chicken is cooked through and the vegetables are just tender, 8 to 10 minutes. Stir in the stir-fry sauce. Spoon the stir-fry over the rice; sprinkle with the scallions.
  2. Serving size: ½ cup rice and 1 cup stir-fry

Notes

Oil is considered a pantry basic and therefore, is not included in the five ingredients.
