Try this refreshing smoothie on a hot summer day; you'll feel calm and cool after just one sip. It's perfect to make as a lovely sweet treat for one, and you'll love that it takes just eight minutes to make. The smoothie features a wonderful mixture of bananas, fresh raspberries, fresh blueberries, fat-free yogurt and skim milk, a touch of vanilla extract, as well as colorful mint leaves for the garnish and finishing touch. All you have to do is blend the ingredients together for a quick pick-me-up. You can use strawberries instead of the raspberries too if that's what you have on hand.

Banana

Raspberries

¼ cup(s)

Blueberries

¼ cup(s)

Plain fat free yogurt

½ cup(s)

Fat free skim milk

1 cup(s)

Vanilla extract

tsp, or to taste

Peppermint leaves

1 piece(s), for garnish

Instructions

  1. Break banana into pieces and place in blender with most berries, except 2 or 3 berries for garnish. Add yogurt, milk and vanilla. Blend together until smooth, about 15 to 20 seconds.
  2. Pour into a large glass and garnish with reserved berries and mint.
