Apple, pecan, and cinnamon oatmeal

We cooked these oats the old-fashioned way. But if you're short on time, or don't want to dirty a pot, use this microwave method: In a 2-cup microwavable bowl, combine water, salt, and oats. Microwave on High until water is absorbed and oats are tender, 2 1/2 to 3 minutes. Stir and let stand 1 minute before adding apples, nuts, yogurt, and cinnamon. In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring water and salt to a boil. Stir in oats. Cook, stirring occasionally, until water is absorbed and oats are tender, about 5 minutes. Top with apple, pecans, yogurt, and cinnamon.
