Ingredients

Uncooked skinless boneless chicken breast

1 pound(s)

Garlic powder

2 tsp

Onion powder

2 tsp

White pepper

1 tsp

Egg

2 item(s), large

Cornstarch

½ cup(s)

Panko breadcrumbs

½ cup(s)

Orange

1 medium

Garlic clove

3 clove(s)

Unpacked brown sugar

½ cup(s)

Distilled white vinegar

¼ cup(s)

Less sodium soy sauce

¼ cup(s)

Cornstarch

1 tsp

Scallions

2 medium

Unsalted toasted sesame seeds

1 tsp

Instructions

1

In a large bowl, season the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, and white pepper. Add the eggs, breadcrumbs, and 1/2 cup cornstarch. Toss until chicken is well coated.

2

Add the chicken to air fryer basket and cook 7 minutes at 350°F. Increase heat to 400°F and cook another 2 minutes.

3

Meanwhile, grate all the zest from the orange and squeeze all the juice. Set aside.

4

In a 12-inch skillet, combine the brown sugar, vinegar, and soy sauce. Heat to a simmer on medium. Simmer 2 minutes. Create a slurry by dissolving the remaining 1 tsp cornstarch in 2 tsp water in a small bowl.

5

Drizzle slurry into sauce in skillet. Simmer 1 minute, or until desired consistency. Remove from heat. Stir in the orange zest, juice, and garlic.

6

Add the chicken to the skillet and toss to coat. Garnish with the scallions and sesame seeds, if desired. Serve over cauliflower rice or with vegetables.
