How to cook with a cast-iron skillet on the grill
So you can cook your whole meal outside and keep your kitchen cool.

If you’re primarily using your grill to make burgers and chicken breasts, listen up, because you can use it for so much more! When you close the lid to your grill, it acts like an oven, able to churn out delicious egg dishes, main dishes, side dishes, and desserts. And on a warm summer day, cooking everything outside means you don’t have to make your kitchen even hotter.
We recommend using a cast-iron skillet because it’s an excellent conductor of heat, is similar to cooking in a nonstick pan, is nearly indestructible, and since it doesn’t have holes like most grill pans, you don’t have to worry about food falling through the grates. The recipes come with an added bonus: You can serve right from a cast-iron skillet so there’s no need to dirty another dish or serving platter.
