Tips for Syncing Your Fitness Device

It's the simplest way to keep track of your FitPoints.

The rewards of physical activity? Huge. Not only can it lead to up to 20% more weight loss when combined with eating better, but it may also boost self-esteem and mood, help you manage stress, reduce the risk of depression, and even lead to better sleep. And on WW, there’s yet another way that movement rewards you: with FitPoints®!

The best way to track (and get rewarded for) all of your well-earned FitPoints is to sync your activity tracker. If your device isn’t connected—or if you’re not sure if it’s properly synced—follow the simple steps below. Don’t panic if you don’t see your data right away! It can occasionally take up to two hours to retrieve data from your device or app.

 

Sync your activity tracker

Follow these steps to easily and quickly connect your device.

 

If you track activity with Apple Health or an Apple Watch:

  1. Open the WW app.
  2. Tap the person icon in the top right corner.
  3. Tap the gear icon in the top right corner.
  4. Tap “Activity Settings.”
  5. Tap “Apple Health."
  6. Tap “Connect to Apple Health," then tap "Turn All Categories On" to sync.

 

If you track activity with Fitbit, Withings, Misfit, Garmin, MapMyRun, or Daily Burn:

  1. Open the WW app.
  2. Tap to the activity page of My Day, then scroll to the bottom of the page.
  3. Tap “Connect your device or app.”
  4. Tap “Device.”
  5. Select your device from the menu to sync.
     

Now that your device is connected, you can start earning your FitPoints. Remember: There’s no right or wrong way to get active. WW encourages you to move any way you like, at your own pace.
