A bit of citrus juice brightens up the flavor of this granita while fresh herbs lend a fun twist.

Fresh lemon juice
2 tbsp(s), plus extra for garnish
- Puree watermelon and lemon juice in a large blender or food processor; add basil and pulse to combine. Pour into a pie plate or 9-in square pan and freeze for 30 minutes; stir frozen bits of fruit into center. Continue to stir and scrape frozen fruit from edges to center every 30 mins until granita is completely frozen, about 4 hours. Serve garnished with basil.
