Take the chill out of a cold winter night with this delicious, homey pear cobbler. First, the pears are tossed with brown sugar, flour, lemon juice, and cinnamon, then arranged in a baking dish. The dough is made with both all-purpose flour and whole wheat flour, as well as brown sugar and baking powder. The margarine is cut into the dry ingredients with a pastry blender or your fingertips, then hydrated with low-fat buttermilk. Simply dollop the dough onto the pears and bake until browned and bubbly. Dust with powdered sugar right before serving to help bring it all together and for a prettier presentation.
