Ingredients

Uncooked white rice

1 cup(s)

Ground turmeric

1 tsp(s)

Regular butter

1 tsp(s)

Onion powder

½ tsp(s)

Garlic powder

½ tsp(s)

Water

Instructions

  1. Before cooking, rinse rice in a colander under the tap, or by covering with water, swirling, and carefully decanting. Repeat 2-3 times until water becomes clear.
  2. In a medium pot, combine the rinsed rice with turmeric, butter, onion powder, garlic powder, and water.
  3. Cover and bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer (covered) for 15 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let sit for another 10 minutes before fluffing with a fork and serving.
  5. Serving size: 1 cup
