Turkey Burger with Chili Fries

Put a spin on the typical burger and fries by pairing the fries with meatloaf. Preheat the oven to 350°F, shape the turkey into a loaf and bake, about 45 minutes.


Ingredients
Uncooked potato
2 large, cut into thin strips
Egg whites
2 serving(s), large
Cumin seeds
¾ tbsp(s)
Table salt
½ tsp(s)
Chili powder
½ tsp(s)
Black pepper

Uncooked extra lean ground turkey breast

Onion
½ medium, red, chopped
Raw egg
1 large, beaten
Fresh parsley
2 tbsp(s), chopped
Garlic
1 clove(s), large, minced
Ground tarragon
½ tsp(s)
Table salt
½ tsp(s)
Black pepper
¼ pinch(es)
Hard roll
4 item(s), high-fiber, 2 oz each
Instructions

Preheat oven to 425°F. Coat a nonstick baking sheet and broiler rack with cooking spray.

In a large bowl, combine potatoes, egg whites, cumin, salt, chili powder and pepper; toss to coat. Transfer to baking sheet.

Bake until potatoes are barely tender, about 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a large bowl lightly combine turkey, onion, egg, parsley, garlic, tarragon, salt and pepper. Form into 4 burgers.

Increase oven temperature to broil. Broil fries until crispy, about 10 minutes. At the same time, broil burgers until brown, about 5 minutes on each side.

Place on rolls and serve immediately.
