This dish is so quick to make, you can whip it up for lunch — a great alternative to a tuna fish sandwich!

Ingredients

Canned diced tomatoes

14½ oz

Water-packed tuna fish, drained

10 oz, solid, white

Fat-free Italian salad dressing

½ cup(s)

Olives

8 large, jumbo, black, pitted and chopped

Fresh basil

1 tbsp(s), fresh, chopped

Garlic

1 clove(s), large, minced

Table salt

tsp(s), or to taste

Black pepper

pinch(es), or to taste

Cooked fettucine

4 cup(s), kept hot

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients except pasta.
  2. Bring to boil; simmer 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Serve over hot fettuccine.
  4. Yields about 1 cup sauce and 1 cup pasta per serving.
