Ingredients

Carrots

6 medium

Unsalted butter

2 tsp(s), softened

Sea salt

½ tsp(s), coarse

Black pepper

¼ pinch(es)

Fresh parsley

1 tbsp(s), chopped

Instructions

  1. Peel and trim carrots. Halve the carrots lengthwise and place in a steamer basket. Set basket in saucepan over 1 inch of boiling water. Cover pan and steam until just tender when poked with the tip of a knife, 8–10 minutes. Transfer to plate; top with butter and toss until melted. Sprinkle with parsley or carrot tops, salt, and pepper.
  2. Serving size: about 3 halves
