This scrumptious dessert tastes great served warm or as a topping over low-fat vanilla frozen yogurt.

Ingredients

Pear

2 medium, ripe, peeled and halved

Reduced-calorie margarine

2 tsp(s)

Unpacked brown sugar

4 tsp(s)

Ground cinnamon

1 tsp(s)

Ground nutmeg

½ tsp(s)

Instructions

  1. Preheat broiler. Place pear halves in a baking dish coated with cooking spray, sliced side up.
  2. Place 1/2 teaspoon margarine in centre of each pear half, then sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  3. Place 5 inches from heat source and broil until margarine is melted, about 5 minutes.
