Southwestern Pork Patties

Lean pork can sometimes be dry when grilled, so we used black beans to add moisture, texture and flavour to these patties.


Ingredients
Uncooked lean pork tenderloin
6 oz, ground
Uncooked 99% fat-free ground turkey breast

Canned black beans
½ cup(s)
Onion
¼ cup(s), grated
Garlic
2 clove(s), large, minced
Chili powder

Cumin seeds

4 bun(s), warmed on grill
Fat free salsa
½ cup(s), chunky
Avocado
½ medium, sliced

Instructions

Prepare coals for grill. Rinse and drain beans; mash with a fork.

Place pork and turkey with salt in a medium bowl and mix well; shape into 4 patties.

Grill until well-done, about 4 minutes per side.

Serve on toasted buns topped with salsa, avocado, lettuce, tomato and onion.
