Ingredients

Olive oil

2 tsp(s)

String beans

1 pound(s), trimmed

Table salt

½ tsp(s)

Black pepper

¼ tsp(s)

Fresh lemon juice

1 tbsp(s)

Fresh basil

2 tbsp(s), chopped, or other herb of choice

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add half of green beans and cook, stirring frequently, until tender, 3 to 5 minute (add a few tablespoons water if needed). Transfer beans to large bowl. Repeat with remaining green beans. Add salt and pepper to beans and toss to coat. Add squeeze of lemon juice and/or sprinkle of basil, chives, oregano, parsley, tarragon, or thyme, if desired, and toss to coat.
  2. Serving size: generous 3/4 cup
